Hi there, my name is Ilissa. I was born and raised in New Orleans. New Orleans is my home and always will have a special place in my heart wherever I go in life. Though most people cannot pronounce my name properly, so most people just call me Illy. I am a bit of a dreamer. I have many dreams that I aspire to reach in my life. One of my biggest dreams is to be a voice actor. I have always had a big passion for acting, though a couple of years ago I realized where I actually wanted to go with that passion. For me, the thought of voicing animations excites me. It might sound cliché to say such a thing, but every time I think of my dream I get butterflies in my stomach. When voice acting, it’s as if the actor gives life and emotion to this two dimensional moving picture. One of the animes that has inspired me to go into voice acting is Bleach. Bleach is my favorite manga and anime. I have been reading and watching bleach for about 4 or 5 years now. I read it all through high school and now I am a freshman in college, so it feels as though I grew up a little with Bleach. When I started reading Bleach I was about 14 and the main character was 15, and now that I am 18 as is the main character. Bleach has taught me a couple life lessons and I believe any anime has the chance to do so no matter who you are- which is another reason why I would love to voice an anime. But, enough ranting about my dream and anime. I would like the world to know that I have the two cutest animals ever. I have two pet ferrets named Sephi and Kiki. Some people are grossed out by them but once they actually see my ferrets in person, their cuteness usually win them over. One of my hobbies is photography, and I have been doing photography for about 2 years now. For now I have just been practicing on my friends, and using natural lighting. Though, in the future if I actually pursue photography more, I hope to start traveling around the world and shooting for magazines. Like I said before, I have many dreams. That’s enough about me, hope I didn’t bore ya.
First of all, Illy, you are not boring. I loved hearing about all your dreams, and I think you can do all of them. I love how you want to be a voice actor; do you know what kind of anime you would like to act in? Do you have a specific genre in mind or does it really matter? I love how you want to be a professional photographer. Do you have a specific magazine in mind that you would like to work for? Will it be a fashion magazine or a travel magazine? Am I asking too many questions? I would love to meet your ferrets! They sound adorable! I admire your dedication to Bleach; it is a great series with awesome characters. To answer your question, I have only watched Fullmetal Alchemist I have not read it. You are awesome and your dreams are so cool, go for it!!
